Vecchio Magazino Doganale was started in 2016 by Ivano Trombino. Ivano felt there was a big gap in liquor between who was working using chemical extractions and artificial flavors and those who was working in a traditoinal and natural way. He created Vecchio Magazzino Doganale to produce traditoinal Amari in an all natural way. Everything is processed separately according to the ingredients and the seasons. Ivano’s family has been in the Agricultural business in Calabria since the 1850s and his ingredients come from in and around the Sila mountains. There are no artificial flavors or colors in any of his products. This special amaro made in the "rural" method includes bergamont, bitter and sweet oranges, rosemary, eucalyptus, oregano combined with a complex set of bittering herbs, which create one of the most satisfying and delicious amaro available. His flagship Calabrian amaro is named "Jefferson's" in Italy, but cannot be listed as such in the US. It is, however, very important.
