2020 Casa da Passarella Tinto Dão

Fermented in granite lagares and then aged in concrete and large oak, this is a modern twist on a traditional wine. A field blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro and Jaen. Fresh dark cherry fruits are accented with mountain herbs, and granite minerality typical of the region. It has the typical tannins for the region, but they are polished, well resolved and are perfectly integrated into the charming fruit of the wine. This is a perfect introduction to the region.
