Review Date: 10/2021The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Frediani Vineyard is powerful and deep, but also quite compact. This muscular Calistoga Cabernet has plenty of energy, but whether the fruit will ever fully emerge is a bit of a question mark. Today, the tannins are pretty imposing. Hints of chalk, white pepper and earthy undertones linger on the tense, tightly wound finish. (AG)

Black fruits, camphor, plum, and asphalt notes all emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Frediani Vineyard, a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc. This medium-bodied effort has moderate acidity, a plush, up-front style, and should drink nicely for a decade.

Warm nose of blackberries, raspberry coulis, crushed stones, violets and menthol. Praline, too. Full-bodied with firm, silky tannins. Polished and fragrant with a supple texture.
