2020 Domaine Sylvain Pataille Bourgogne Aligoté "Clos du Roy"
Notes
90-92pts Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy: "Grown in the upper part, known to the locals as Les Pots, from plantings in 1932 and 1948/1951. The vines are trained in gobelet and worked by horse. Fuller lemon and lime colour. The most interesting nose to date, fine white burgundy more than Aligoté. This has all factors, a clean weight of white fruit but with a powerful Aligoté thread running all the way through and extending to one of the longest finishes. Brilliant. Tasted: November 2021." Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: :"About 0.2 hectares that was also planted between the 1930s and 1960s Another nose of mineral interest. The largest of scale, very mineral again. Long, stricter wine but subtly long. Another delicious wine."
