Reviewed October 202238 hl/ha, thanks to its location on flatter ground assisted by the use of bougies. Mid lemon yellow. Interestingly complex, with some salinity behind a full white fruit even with some peaches in the background. Guts, nerve, depth. Drink from 2026-2031.

Burghound
This is aromatically similar to the Chenevottes if not quite as restrained. As is
typically the case, the medium weight plus flavors are richer and more voluminous but less refined while offers excellent length
on the succulent, even seductive finish that is markedly dry though not especially austere. This well-made effort should nicely
repay up to a decade of cellaring. *Outstanding*
Notes
Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "Only about 5 producers, below Batard and Criots – a quite windy area so practically never any botrytis here – relatively deep soil – in this case older vines – planted in 1948 but despite the wind an early ripening place. ‘Vide Bourse has a more alcoholic impression, very like Bâtard.’ Broad, clean and floral – beautiful. Large-scale in the mouth – just a dynamic finishing flavour. Oof – superb – ‘the only place in Chassagne where I had an almost normal yield – 30 hl/ha…‘ Bravo!" (10/2022)
