Bruno Paillard "Première Cuvée" Rosé Extra Brut Champagne (375ml)

This is still a very young example of Bruno Paillard Rosé non-vintage Extra Brut, as the maison’s wines always are built for a long and beautiful evolution in the cellar. The wine is composed of primarily pinot noir, with a small percentage of chardonnay and includes a significant percentage of reserve wines from a dedicated solera created in 1985. It was aged three years sur lattes prior to disgorgement. The wine is youthfully reticent on the nose today, but shows superb potential in its very elegant blend of white cherries, peach, chalky soil tones, bread dough and a topnote of white flowers. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still tightly-knit, with a lovely core of fruit, fine soil inflection and grip, utterly refined mousse and a long, nascently complex and seamlessly balanced finish.
