Reviewed March 2022The only Côte de Nuits in the five new 2020 wines from California's Kosta Browne winery. Saturated dark fruit and saddle leather aromas lead to a plump palate of succulent blackberry fruits with mineral underpinnings. Sappy tannins are firm with no astringency, and the finish is penetrating, punctuated by notes of limestone, blood orange and cola. Aged in 31% new French oak. (JC)
