Shows superb energy and definition in the mouth, offering sweet raspberry, cherry and lavender pastille flavors that show impressive depth and no rough edges. The 2017 Harmonie is a blend of 67% Grenache, 18% Mourvèdre and 15% Syrah aged mostly in old puncheons. It has a medium ruby color and opens with lovely, concentrated dried cranberries and red cherries, raspberry preserves, strawberry jam and blueberry coulis scents with accents of dried tobacco leaves, pink peppercorn, blood orange and dried flowers with a mineral streak. Medium-bodied, it has a silky-smooth texture and wonderful layering of amaro and earth-tinged fruits, with pixelated tannins and just enough juicy freshness to lift the finish. (EB)
