The high proof version of the excellent, traditionally-produced brand from the popular NOM 1477 - Puerto de Tequila distillery. Their other brands (Cava D'Oro, Adictivo and more) are extremely popular, but not produced with the same adherence to traditional production as the Amatitena brand. Here, the single-field agave is roasted in traditional brick ovens, pressed on tahona and fermented with wild yeast. Double distilled on small copper pots and bottled without the addition of water at 49% abv. It's one of the best examples of high proof traditional production on the market today.
