This impressive wine layers tannins and dark fruits in a rich structure. The wine is powerful and concentrated; bold while still elegant. Drink this fine wine from 2024. (RV)

This was a great way to start a tasting on a very early Wednesday morning. A nose redolent of boysenberries, mint and chocolate. On the palate, soft and supple, with darker red fruits and a nice hint of chalk on the finish. Not familiar with red wines from Portugal? Definitely start here!

Everything but the kitchen sink in this wine, six different grape varietals and a whole lot of flavor, structure is fantastic. Honestly, I was personally overwhelmed with the amount of grapes that are going into this blend but grape lends a distinct character and flavor to the wine. Texturally smooth, a progressive yet bold body, flavors ranging from warming spices to ripe red fruit... The list goes on! At twenty one a bottle the value really can't be beat, it'll age beautifully -- although, I won't blame you if you drink it now.

This wine has a blend of six different grapes, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Touriga Franca giving it a rich texture from start to finish. You get rich dark plum, menthol, and spice. This wine is ready to drink and would be even better laid down for years to come.

Notes

A blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira, Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Franca, and Alicante Bouschet. All of the grapes were fermented seperately and then blended then the wine was aged in a mix of French and American barrels for one year. 2019 is the first year that all of the fruit for this wine was certified organic.
