Review Date: 02/2020The 2013 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard doesn’t match the 2012, but it still offers a beautiful, complex, layered style that packs plenty of fruit as well as a more Burgundian style. Spiced black cherries, raspberries, strawberries, orange blossom, and flowery incense notes all emerge from the glass, and it’s beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied, pure, and elegant on the palate. Give it a few years and enjoy over the following decade.

Notes
As Robert Parker says, "The visionary husband and wife team of John Wetlaufer and Helen Turley have created a largely unprecedented legacy of extraordinary quality that is unsurpassed by anyone else in Northern California." With one of the longest waiting lists in collectible wine and minuscule quantities produced, Marcassin's signature Pinot Noir is a treasure in collectible wine, and perhaps one of the top expressions of the varietal in the entire US.
