This interesting little blend from Ireland starts with 20% triple distilled malt whisky and 80% corn aged in traditional ex-bourbon barrels. It's then finished for over a year in new virgin American oak before bottling. Named for the Ireland's only native toad, the Natterjack has a distinctive yellow stripe running down its back. Most Toads hop, but the Natterjack walks, or saunters about without much concern to anything that might impede its path - making its own path. Thanks to an adventurous spirit and ability to roam, it shows up in the most unlikely of places.
