Composed of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 11% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot, the 2015 Proprietary Red Wine displays a medium to deep garnet-purple color and nose of crushed red and black currants, black cherries and blackberries with hints of underbrush, dried Mediterranean herbs and damp soil. Medium-bodied, refreshing and delicately styled in the mouth, there are plenty of fruity layers here with an earthiness to spark interest, finishing with ripe, grainy tannins paving the way. (LPB)

A blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, 11% Petit Verdot and the balance Merlot, the 2015 Proprietary Red Wine is a forward, plump, sexy wine that has lots of black (and some blue) fruits, white chocolate, white flower and graphite notes in its medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced personality. It’s not the most concentrated red out there, yet it, again, shines for its balance and purity. I suspect it’s going to keep nicely for 15+ years.

A fleshy and round-textured wine with blackberry and blueberry character. Some dark chocolate, too. Full-bodied, broad-shouldered and intense. A delicious finish with just a tug at the finish of tannins. Pretty now.
