Review Date: 10/2016Another Cheval Blanc-like blend of 65% Cabernet Franc and 35% Merlot is the 2013 Rapszodia Proprietary Red, which has mind-blowing aromatics of blueberries, white flowers, raspberries and foresty notes in a fragrant, compelling scent of explosive perfume. Deep, concentrated, multidimensional, yet vibrant and super-concentrated, this is another tour de force, although only 150 cases were made of this superstar that finished at 13.8% natural alcohol. Full-bodied, silky and chewy, yet exciting tannins. The energy and zen to this wine are amazing. I love tasting it now but it will be superb for decades ahead.

Kapcsándy's 2013 Rapszodia is simply tremendous. Dark, powerful and structured, the 2013 possesses huge depth backed by a vertical spine of tannin that give the wine its shape and energy. Layers of intense dark fruit, cloves, new leather and menthol soar out of the glass. Gravel and scorched earth notes add gravitas. Today, the 2013 Rapszodia is even better than it was last year, and also gives every impression it has room to grow. In a word: magnificent! (AG)
