2014 Dana Estates "Hershey Vineyard" Howell Mountain Sauvignon Blanc
Notes
Fewer than 100 cases of the Dana Estates Sauvignon Blanc are typically produced each year from a 1.5-acre block planted at about 1,800 feet of elevation on Howell Mountain. Philippe Melka has been the consulting winemaker at Dana since the inaugural vintage. Tasting note from the winery: "The aroma offers expressive notes of Meyer lemons, pastry crust, and ginger, with classic Hershey minerality. This wine opens on the palate with creamy notes of lemon curd and wet slate. Bight acidity frames tangerine zest and caramel notes on the long structured finish."
