The 2019 vintage of Saint-Véran from Maison Joseph Drouhin is an impressively mineral interpretation of this ripe vintage, offering up a refined and very classy nose of apple, pear, chalky minerality, spring flowers and just a hint of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and nicely light on its feet, with a good core, fine soil inflection, very good framing acids and a long, complex finish. This is very good this year.
