2020 Arnot-Roberts California Rosé

The base of the long-time favorite rose remains the same. It's based heavily on Touriga Nacional from Luchsinger and St. Amant Vineyards in Lake County and El Dorado County respectively. In August of 2020, with fires breaking out in wine country and the threat of smoke damage growing, Arnot-Roberts decided to quickly pick Watson Ranch Cab Franc and Barsotti Gamay (both intended for red wines initially) to make sure all was not lost if smoke did indeed become an issue. As we all know now, that gamble paid off, and the early picked Gamay and Cab Franc marry beautifully with the Touriga. The final composition is: 68 % Touriga Nacional, 16% Gamay Noir, 11% Cabernet Franc, 5% Grenache and just 11% ABV.
