It's shocking that this little distiller in Gao created India's first ever craft gin. Nao Spirits started back in 2015 when two Delhi bartenders, Ananda and Vaibhav, found themselves unable to find a high quality gin of Indian origin to use in their bar programs. In the land that created the Gin & Tonic and the source for some many of London Dry's classic ingredients, not one single high quality hand craft gin was being made. They built a tiny distillery together and began experimenting with the diverse bounties of their homeland. Jin Jiji celebrates the complex botanical and culinary landscape for which India is renowned. Built around a heart of wild, foraged juniper from the Himalayas, it also features Macedonian juniper, the fragrant tulsi leaf (holy basil), coriander, black tea, angelica root, orris root, chamomile, and cashew nut. The distinctive profile is undeniably, the perfect way to easily spice up any classic. Anand & Vaibhav have achieved what most serious craft gin distillers strive for, capturing an honest and pure expression of place in their spirit.
