2019 Antidoto "Roselito" Rosé Ribera del Duero
Review Date: 05/2020
As we hit peak rosé season, I'm always on the lookout for my next obsession. The Roselito is my new favorite, and it's easy to see why. Brimming with fresh, wild berries and subtle melon flavor, this is a wine I would greedily gobble up as quickly as I could. But if you take a step back, you can appreciate the full extent of its brilliance. Stony minerals and a lime skin tartness add to its lip-smacking goodness, and its texture is also tremendously enjoyable, thanks in part to the inclusion of Albillo in the blend. The white grape that was only recently allowed for use in classified Ribero DO wines brings vivid tropical aromatics and provides a rich mouthfeel. This might be one of the most exciting wines of the year in an already competitive category. Get yours before they're gone.

Notes
Bodegas Antídoto is located in San Esteban of Gormaz (Soria), at the center of a nucleus of villages such as Soto de San Esteban, Miño de San Esteban, Matanza, Villálvaro and Alcubilla de Marqués, to the south of the Duero river Duero, on sandy land with abundant pebbles. Their wines come from the old Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vineyards and are managed biodynamically. Winery note: "Roselito is the younger sister to Antidoto's 'Le Rosé.' The traditional blending of Albillo and Tinto Fino from old vines result in this notably original wine." *Biodynamic*
