Scored 95 points at the Beverage Testing Institute Awards in 2020 and awarded double gold at the 2019 International Spirits Challenge. The Camarenas are one of the most well respected families in Tequila, and with good reason. Both Felipe and his son Carlos have always honored the agave flavors in quality, traditionally produced Tequila, but that doesn't mean they shy away from long aging for Extra Añejo. This incredible Tequila spends 4-5 years in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, but the deft use of wood never covers the delicate aroma and flavor of the agave itself. As Carlos says, "We like to use thick frames of oak, not covering the agave picture."
