Reviewed May 2014The 2012 Tannat is naturally one of the richer, more concentrated wines in this range. Super ripe blue/black fruits, menthol, cloves, lavender and licorice all burst from the glass as this extroverted wine shows off its intense personality. The typically firm Tannat tannins are they, but they are nearly buried. (AG)

The 2012 Tannat is a beauty. Medium to full-bodied, rich and nicely concentrated, with a serious core of tannin, it gives up ripe cherry, violets, licorice and ground herbs in its beautifully balanced, layered and lengthy profile. (JD)
