Review Date: 12/2019This golden Speyside single malt was aged a full 15 years in ex-Bourbon barrels. The result is a honeyed aroma that mixes fresh apple and pear with a floral hint. The palate opens softly at first, with plenty of fruit and a light veil of peat smoke. Adding water brings more juicy pear, marmalade and vanilla to the forefront, finishing with lingering smoke and spice. (KN)

Email ScottWhile I thoroughly enjoyed the 18 year old Glen Grant immensely, the 15 year old is no slouch. It has a bit more spice on the tip of the tongue than the 18 year old and it has more stone fruits (primarily apricot) as well. There is also a bit of peat and smoke for added dimension and some nice green apple flavors. Like the 18 year old, thoroughly enjoyable, though different.
