The 2016 is naturally a little more subdued but there's an aromatic complexity with earthy, dark fruit notes. The palate is juicy and fresh with good persistence, the tannic frame powerful but the tannins finely honed. This is clearly a wine for ageing and will reward a little patience. The 'best value' pick. (JL)

This is the second vintage produced as entirely biodynamic under Latour tutelage. These are good, bright and pliable tannins, and the fruit is extremely dark with good spice through the palate. I really like the cut herbs on the nose. This is a wine that has improved over recent years and is really one to watch.

Bright flowers and attractive red berries on offer here with a really succulent, velvety palate that offers rich red-plum flavors. Long and juicy resolve.

The 2016 Siaurac is silky, perfumed and exceptionally beautiful. Readers will find a restrained Lalande de Pomerol built on finesse and class. Sweet tobacco, menthol, licorice and pretty herbal notes add shades of complexity throughout. (AG)

High toned fruit on the nose, this almost smells a bit crunchy with cranberry sauce, pie cherry, and ripe raspberry. The palate has really lovely acid with some slight tannins but nothing that's going to upset you, there's some tertiary development with some rich mushroom, a little bit of bright olive, and a kind of lingering earthiness as the barrel comes in and the wine rounds itself out. This is good to go with a meal, but absolutely could lay down further. It's definitely on the brighter lighter side, but there's nothing wrong with that.
Elegant and beautifully mature, this Right Bank Bordeaux opens with aromas of ripe plum, black cherry, and cassis layered with notes of cedar, graphite, and subtle baking spice. The palate is supple and refined, with Merlot-driven dark fruit supported by silky tannins and a gentle earthy complexity. With several years of bottle age, the wine shows impressive harmony, where fruit, structure, and secondary notes of leather and spice come together seamlessly. A classic Right Bank Bordeaux offering depth, elegance, and exceptional value for those seeking the character of Pomerol without the Pomerol price tag.

Whole lot of wine, for not a lot of money! Spice box aromatics bound from the glass, with herbal edges that cut through the Big Dark Fruit at the heart of this wine. Sage, tarragon, a sprig of rosemary and a dash of Five Spice - savory, chewy tannins wrap up the whole bundle. Drink or save a few for a couple of extra years!
