La Venenosa "Etnica Tutsi" Raicilla (750ml)
Notes
The traditional spirit of the Huichol people of Northwestern Jalisco, Tutsi has been essentially extinct for the last quarter century. One family's commitment to preserving their cultural heritage and agrarian traditions has resulted in this extremely rare and unusual spirit. Few products will ever have as much spiritual and cultural significance as this unbelievable elixir. Drinking Tutsi is like stepping back a thousand years to another age. It's a journey from which you may struggle to return and may never want to leave. Nothing in the world tastes quite like Tutsi. From the locally foraged Agave Mai, the Tutsi is produced in the most traditional fashion. In the village of Tatei Kie, Don. Rafael Carrillo Pizano harvested these wild Mai Agave and roasted them over black oak in natural stone oven. It is fermented in rock pits before being distilled once in the hand built Huichol style still.
