The 2015 'Dr. Olmo' is a simply stunning wine from Larkmead. Composed from older vines,15-years or more, which are planted on Cortina gravel and spent 19 months, 59% new Tonnellerie Sylvain. This stunning Cabernet instantly impresses with its seductive aromatics of fresh ripe blackberries and dark currants that are woven together with graphite, cocoa powder, violets, herbs and mineral nuances all taking shape. Medium to full-bodied, and impeccably structured with beautifully polished, velvety tannins wrapping the deep core of ripe dark fruit. It goes on to display wonderful concentration and precision, remaining incredibly focused before expanding across the palate. Dr. Olmo is a total beauty in this vintage and while it is already utterly captivating it also displays the potential to thrive in the cellar for decades. (JD)

Currants and blackberries and hints of walnuts and spices. Lavender and rosemary. Full-bodied, layered and so beautiful. Great tension and brightness. Crushed stones. A pure Cabernet Sauvignon. Great definition.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Olmo has really come together since I last tasted it from barrel. Graphite, smoke, crushed rocks, spice and rose petal overtones give the 2015 Dr. Olmo its distinctive aromatic signatures. The 2015 finishes with remarkable tension and energy. What a gorgeous wine it is. (AG)

Of the three top Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Olmo is the most classic expression of Cabernet and offers Pauillac-like notes of black cherry, cassis, lead pencil shavings, espresso roast, and gravelly minerality. It’s full-bodied, concentrated, and structured, and will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and shine for 20-25 years or more.
