Beautiful nose of white flowers with candied lemon peel aromas underlined by a delicate white bread character with just a hint of toast. At once generous and elegant on the front palate, then the salty and chalky character builds beautifully, very nicely balancing the dosage at the long polished finish. A cuvee based on the 2018 vintage with 30% reserve wines matured for almost three years on the lees before disgorging in January 2023.

Rich and fragrant, with chopped hazelnut, toasted brioche and smoke notes accenting poached apricot and spun honey flavors. Remains fresh and focused, thanks to lively lemony acidity, which carries the expressive profile on the lingering finish. (AN)

A bright yellow color, the NV Champagne Blanc De Blancs Brut is also based on the 2018 vintage and also sees 9 grams per liter dosage. From different terrors around the region for Chardonnay, it opens in the glass to more reserved, delicate aromas of citrus pith, white flowers, and a deeper mineral tone underneath. Juicy and full-bodied, it’s more expressive on the palate, with ripe fresh pear and rounded notes with a creamy texture. It’s very attractive, and although it needs some coaxing on opening, it’s a very attractive ripe and juicy style of Blanc De Blancs with the Heidsieck signature. (AF)
