Freeland Spirits is a pioneering women-owned, independent distillery in Portland, Oregon founded by Jill Kuehler. While the distillery was born of a night of whiskey drinking with her friend and local Oregon rancher, Cory Carmen, the original flagship product is this spectacular gin. A unique combination of copper pot still and vacuum still distillates creates a gin of texture and nuance unlike anything on the market. The copper pot still brings 14 classic botanicals to life as a beautiful gin that would be right at home in any London dry expression. But the magic really happens when fresh cucumber, rosemary, mint, and thyme are vacuum distilled separately and the two spirits are blended. The result is a fresh pop of the garden (all items locally grown as well on a small farm) in a way that's perfectly integrated with the spirit. Bottled at 45% ABV, it also stands up robustly in any cocktail.
