2014 Linne Calodo "Overthinker" Paso Robles Willow Creek District Rhône Blend
96
Jeb Dunnuck
Review Date: 08/2017The Grenache heavy 2014 Overthinker (it includes 24% Syrah and 14% Mourvèdre, all aged 18 months in 30% new barrels) offers more black and blue fruits, cherry pit, violets and peppery spice, full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannin and killer texture. Another wine that just begs to be drunk, this 2014 has slightly more tannic grip as well as length. It's a gorgeous wine that could come only from this limestone hills on the westside of Paso Robles.

Notes
Jeb Dunnuck writes: "One of the reference point estates in Paso Robles is undeniably Matt Trevisan’s Linne Calodo. Matt created this estate in 1999 (with Justin Smith of Saxum), and today makes a bevy of brilliant wines all based on eclectic blends. These wines shine for their complexity and nuance as much as their textures and richness." (08/2017)
