The most limited of the Rey Zapoteco's and the sweetest fruit profile of the bunch. The vanilla lent from the barrel also brings the agave's natural fruitiness to the forefront. The smoke takes a backseat here and a more hedonistic profile emerges.

One of the oldest mezcal producers in the town of Santiago Matatlán in Oaxaca, El Rey Zapoteco was founded by Don Serafín Hernandez Blas in 1960 and is now run by the second generation of the Hernandez family. The añejo is aged in barrels resulting in a harmonious blend of mezcal smokiness with white oak notes. The body is full and rich due to the extended aging.
