Pale gold colored, the 2009 la Tour Blanche gives up bold, youthful tropical fruit notes of green mango and passion fruit with touches of candied citrus and honeysuckle plus savory wafts of toasted almonds and baking bread. The palate is an exercise in poise and elegance with beguiling vibrancy and freshness, finishing long and mineral laced. (LPB)

This is rich, exuding delicious sweetness, with a core of dense botrytis. An opulent, ripe apricot flavor accompanies the bittersweet orange and mirabelle fruit notes. The acidity, sweetness and concentration promise a great future for this wine. *Cellar Selection* (RV)

A very polished nose, with a little savoury note to it, some hints of beeswax, the botrytis showing too, with orange citrus and apricot notes becoming quite prominent. There is just a little matchsticky edge to the definition. The palate has great texture, showing a little reductive-smoky element like the nose at present, but also reams of soft, plush, golden fruits, plums and pineapple too. This remains beautifully fresh, yet rich and full of promise. Excellent wine. 18/20 points (CK)
