Burghound
Review Date: 06/2018A faint trace of the exotic can be found on the cool, pure and fresh nose that offers up notes of yellow orchard fruit, white peach, floral and lemon peel. There is good precision to the generously proportioned big-bodied flavors that deliver outstanding depth and length. *Don't Miss!*

Compared to the premier crus at this address, this wine offers another dimension on the nose, with aromas of pear, white flowers, almond and hazelnut complemented by deeper-pitched soil tones and a hint of dried fruits. Hugely rich but surprisingly energetic on the palate, conveying seamless flavors of yellow and dried fruits and salty minerality. Totally saturates the mouth and mounts on the back end without leaving any impression of heaviness. Boillot told me that the 2017 version of this wine is a bit higher in acidity but this bottle boasts excellent verve. (ST)

The holding consists of 5 rows on the Puligny side and 6 in Chassagne, all in one block. One of the paler colours. All new wood keeps the nose clean and white. Pure long fairly intense, but not quite magisterial. This needs more time to develop its character.
