Still dry and concentrated and with swathes of rich tannins, the wine is dark and dense. The undertow of ripe black fruit is impressive. It obviously has considerable aging potential, Drink this serious wine from 2025. *Cellar Selection* (RV)

Firm tannins still as it hits the 10 year mark, with beautiful depths to the espresso and cocoa bean accents, along with blueberry and cassis fruits, all wrapped up in silky tannins. Great quality and balance. Harvest September 22 to October 16. 50% new oak. Denis Dubourdieu consultant, Didier Forêt technical director.

The 2014 Giscours has come on leaps and bounds since I tasted it twice in barrel. It is clearly more sophisticated and complex than the du Tertre on the nose. For a start, there is more fruit concentration with red cherries, raspberry and blackcurrant laced with cedar and graphite. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, pure red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit with a precise finish that the property never used to be able to offer. This is a lovely Margaux that should drink well for 20 years. (NM)

Email HeatherI was very impressed with this wine in a recent tasting of '14 and '15 Bordeaux. It not only has elegance, depth and power, but is already starting to integrate its tannin and acidity structure, and with a good decant it is showing very well now. The aromas are clean and lifted, with signature Margaux violet and black plum, and the palate is surprisingly soft. There are hints of wild herb and olive just beginning to show through the powerful black fruit and sweeter oak spices. I'd highly recommend this reasonably priced Margaux, which drinks like one of its pricier neighbors.

Blueberries, tar and licorice also. Full-bodied, solid and dense. Velvety tannins. Long finish. Fantastic.
