Expect a big, bold nose of ultra-ripe fruit, powerful vanilla and sweet malt--exhibiting the telltale grace of excellent refill casks and the balanced influence of sherry. With a bit of water, the nose explodes into a bouquet of pressed pommace fruit (Red Delicious apples and Bosc pears). On the palate, the slight nougat and subtle coffee balance the sweet fresh malt.
