While the Orange Blossom Mead from Heidrun reminds me of Spring and Summer, this upcoming release reminds me of Winter. In Sweden. Not that I actually like snow. It makes me go fetal. I see this with red potatoes in sour cream, herring, and my grams stuffed pancakes. This marvelous sparkling Mead is delicate and like the others in this line, has a very fine acidity and lingering finish. The flavors are lightly spicy with pretty berry flavors, blossoms and, of course, a background of fresh and pure honey. Whatever you think of Mead, throw it out the window. The Heidrun versions are head and shoulders above what most people think of Mead. Plus, they have bubbles! This will be present when we put out our straw Christmas goat for the holidays!
