This exceptional rum from Diplomatico is 100% distilled in copper pot still before a minimum aging of 12 years in white oak barrels until they reach optimal maturity. The rums are then finished for two additional years in PX sherry casks which lend the dark color and rich complex flavor profile. Its rich aromatic profile includes a well-balanced combination of aromas, including port wine, cigar box, dried fruits and chocolate. On the palate it is complex, with raisin, nutmeg, cinnamon and toasted oak notes leading into a long and pleasing aftertaste
