Wine Enthusiast
Review Date: 07/2015This is a slightly grassy, green white wine that fans of this style may enjoy; others not so much. Light in alcohol, it has medium body and crispness.

Notes
From the winery: "Napa Valley's complex and varied soil types are the result of volcanic activity, ocean incursions and mountain water run-off that have occurred over millennia. Our Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from vineyards that are blessed with the ideal soil and weather conditions to create delicious fruit with concentrated flavors, ideally balanced acidity and rich, aromatic qualities. Cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserve the varietal's natural crisp citrus characteristics. The 2014 harvest was the earliest in decades. The Spring growing season was moderately cool with a few heat spikes allowing grapes to develop intense flavors as they ripened. Though this period was unusually dry, late Spring brought much welcome rain fall to ensure the third consecutive harvest of abundant, high-quality fruit. This wine can be enjoyed as a delightful aperitif or as a perfect accompaniment to many seafood dishes or a variety of cheeses (we particularly recommend creamy goat cheese). Vibrant aromas of grapefruit, fig, lemongrass and mango. Fresh flavors of grapefruit, fig and mango with crisp and clean acidity and long, lingering finish."
