Notes
Producer notes from Kristaps Karklins for Wine Advocate: "Based in Avize, Pascal Agrapart took over his family estate in the early 1980s. Always humble, Pascal has garnered a serious reputation among industry professionals, gradually emerging as a model for the entire grower Champagne movement. Since 2016, his son Ambroise has overseen the domaine and made the wines, though the father remains very much involved. The style has not changed, with a premium placed on freshness and precision, but Ambroise is refining the work, especially in the vineyards. Farming is mostly mechanical, but some plots in Avize are farmed by horse. Their holdings consist of over 70 parcels across 12 hectares, mostly dedicated to Chardonnay, with 9.5 hectares in the grands crus of Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry." (12/2024)
