Medium red. Reticent nose hints at red berries, licorice and mint. Then sweet and surprisingly supple on the palate, but with excellent spine to its flavors of red fruits, licorice, minerals salts and smoky oak. Nicely balanced village wine with an echoing finish--and more density than the 2011.

Made from Les Communes and Les Vigneux and some parts of Les Brûlées 1er Cru.
