Reviewed April 2012A relatively restrained and attractively fresh nose offers up notes of earth, game and forest floor that add interest to the mix of red berry fruit. The supple, intense and beautifully precise flavors possess an unusually refined mouth feel due to the fine-grained tannins that also shape the firm, clean and agreeably dry finish. Lovely.

The 2010 Nuit Saint Georges Aux Thorey is a big, forceful wine bristling with energy and class. Saline, mineral notes give the Aux Thorey tons of cut. The fruit fleshes out big on the finish, adding depth and volume, but without sacrificing the wine’s focus. (AG)
