Named for former owner E.H. Taylor Jr., this is the fifth release in this limited edition bottled-in-bond 100 proof whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is notable in that it is using an undisclosed mashbill consisting of only rye and malted barley. The proportions are not disclosed, neither is the use of malted rye, if used at all. The profile is herbal and peppery with a distinct dried citrus aroma. The intense spice is balanced by a rich sweet-side. A welcome, if unusual, offering from Buffalo Trace.
