2009 Anthill Farms "Demuth Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
92
Int'l Wine Cellar
Review Date: 05/2011Bright ruby-red. High-pitched, explosively perfumed aromas of red berries, spicecake, incense and herbs. Lively and precise in the mouth, offering gently sweet, expansive strawberry and raspberry flavors, along with star anise and cinnamon nuances. Suave, silky and pure, finishing with outstanding clarity and persistence. This was fermented with 25% whole clusters. (ST)

Notes
Former Williams Selyem winemakers David Low, Anthony Filiberti, and Webster Marquez are the powerhouse winemaking team behind Anthill Farms, and they know a thing or two about Pinot Noir. Anthill Farms is a boutique producer that specializes in small-batch single vineyard and appellation Pinot sourced exclusively from small growers in Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
