Notes
Randy Lewis continues to impress us with his ability to produce intense, powerful wines that seamlessly match decadence with elegance. Sourced from small hillside and benchland parcels in the Oak Knoll and Calistoga appellations, the 2009 Lewis Cellars Reserve Cabernet (98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot) is an opulent and spicy offering, full of cassis, blackberry, clove, and exotic spices, along with toasty vanilla and chocolate aromas and flavors. Sinewy tannins frame a dense core of dark fruit, and the finish is long and lingering.
