This Champagne offers an array of flavor, including toasted brioche, Gala apple, lemon zest, graphite and ginger, with a touch of honey. Elegant, but with good intensity and a moderate, nut-tinged finish. (AN)

Bright yellow-gold. Ripe orchard and pit fruits on the pungent, subtly spicy nose and on the palate. Broad and open-knit, with good heft but a slight warmth on the back end. Closes sappy and smooth, repeating the spicy note. (JR)

An attractive, rich Champagne with a good balance between its ripe apple and citrus flavors as well as some intense textured fruit skins and minerality. Not for aging, but a fine Champagne. (RV)
Notes
This Champagne is composed of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay from Premier Cru or better vineyards. Most of the wines come from Grauves (south of Epernay), Chamery (on the Petit Montagne), and Tauxières-Mutry (Montagne de Reims). The wine is kept for just under three years on the lees and offers a great value for the money. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)
