A beautiful, transparent pink-gold rosé, this wine feels effortless. Five percent red wine grown in Verzenay and Aÿ gives the wine its color, and perks up the fresh flavors of raspberries, complete with their seeds. The texture may be the wine’s best aspect: It’s creamy and lithe, transforming Bollinger’s power into elegance.

Sleek and elegant, this finely knit rosé Champagne offers flavors of ripe cherry, blood orange granita and slivered almond, with aromatic accents of graphite, star anise and verbena. Long and creamy on the vibrant finish. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. (AN)

Pretty notes of strawberry and cherry are trimmed in yeast, quinine and citrusy nuances where the latter is picked up by the delicious and vibrant middle weight flavors where the supporting mousse is dense and moderately fine while the finish is clean, dry and complex. For my taste this is drinking perfectly now though it could easily be held if desired.

Based on the 2020 harvest, with only 5% red wine added, the NV Champagne Brut Rosé pours a bright pink salmon hue and jumps from the glass with a perfume of crushed roses, cardamom, ripe raspberry, and toasted brioche. Full-bodied, it’s juicy on opening, filling the palate with refined red fruit and blood orange, and has a rounded mousse as well as a long finish. Perfect as an aperitif or to end the night, it also feels like it will have a good deal of life ahead.

This spectacular bottle delivers the vinous power that one would expect from Bollinger, but with elegant panache. It is one of the best rosés available at any price.

This winning Brut Rose from Bollinger has a lush nose of cherry, strawberry and orange. On the palate, full and round, with black cherry and black raspberry fruit. Add in a nice bit of orange marmalade and you pretty much have it all in one glass!

Gary kindly opened this tasty Bollinger Rose the other night and it's simply delectable! I got fresh strawberries, sweetness, minerality and a hint of a chalky finish. The acidity pinches the corners of my jaw that makes me go ... "Ahhhhh".

Notes

This is spectacular rosé, perhaps the best non-vintage rosé that I have ever had, and a great argument for the blender's art. Concentrated, yet completely effortless, this barrel-fermented gem has everything one could want from a rosé Champagne. The power is in the wine, but always takes a back seat to balance.
