Dark, bright red. Very ripe but sappy aromas of strawberry, raspberry and tangy baking spices. Dense but juicy and firm-edged, with refreshing flavors of red berries, cherry pit, chocolate, spices and earth complicated by a note of underbrush. Not especially pliant, but nuanced, persistent and firmly built. (ST)

Notes

J. Rochioli Vineyard & Winery is a family-run estate in the heart of the Russian River Valley, with roots in the region dating back to the 1930s. The estate vineyards are planted on well-drained sandy loam soils influenced by cool Pacific fog and breezes, providing ideal conditions for Pinot Noir to ripen slowly and evenly. These conditions yield wines that reflect the balance, depth, and site-driven character of this benchmark Sonoma terroir.
