90 points from Robert Parker: "The 2006 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley offers a lovely nose of violets, sweet raspberries and cherries, medium to full-bodied flavors, terrific purity, and a long finish. It can be enjoyed over the next 3-4 years. This serious new producer in the Boonville area of Mendocino is well worth a look. I was thrilled to see my esteemed colleague, Lettie Teague, tout these wines in Food and Wine magazine as one of her best discoveries of the year. These wines were a remarkable discovery. Anderson Valley is becoming one of the “hot” new cool climate sources of not only white varietals, but also increasing quantities of high quality Pinot Noir. Breggo Cellars’ label pays homage to what used to be a robust sheep farming area, now replaced by grapevines." (12/07) 89 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium red. Spicy raspberry and cherry on the nose, with suave floral qualities adding complexity. The sappy, sweet red berry preserve flavors are perked up by tangy minerality. Dusty tannins add grip to the finish, which leaves a sweet raspberry note behind. This is drinking very well right now." (May/June 08)
