1975 Lungarotti Rubesco Riserva Monticchio
Notes
Made by one of Italy's true pioneers in Giorgio Lungarotti, this is a piece of wine history. Arguably the most famous and most important wine estate in Umbria, Lungarotti is credited with bringing the region's wines and wine styles to the rest of the world. Bottlings from the '70s and '80s made by Giorgio himself are well-known to Italian wine connoisseurs for their polished refinement and incredible longevity. One of Lungarotti family's most unique and important contributions to the world of wine isn't even juice form, however. They are the founders and keepers of the Museo del Vino e dell'Olio, one of the world's largest curations of wine history and artifacts from ancient to modern times.
