Double Gold Medal - 2007 San Francisco World Spirits Competition A winner with our Burgundy Buyer Keith Wollenburg. Here are his notes, "They have a distillery in the middle of a 400 acre cane plantation, which allows them to freshly crush the cane to get the juice for fermentation. They distill, using an alembic still. Their master distiller is from a cognac family, and they use 10 year old neutral barrels for the spirit to rest for 6 months following distillation. It is a very nice cane spirit, with no obvious wood influence and a good clarity n the palate."
