Jason Wilson writes in Vinous "Founded in 1905, Tesseron sold eaux-de-vie to the large Cognac houses for almost a century before deciding, in 2003, to release their own range. Now, they’re focused only on XO age and above. Each XO is labeled as a numbered lot, representing a specific blend from their reserve stocks. This is one of the few houses that still uses a significant percentage of Folle Blanche and Colombard, in addition to Ugni Blanc." (03/2019) F. Paul Pacult writes in Spirits Journal "Eye-catching topaz/honey color; dazzling purity. The opening smells include pears, apples, and soda water; additional air contact releases delicate, fruity scents of banana in brandy, cotton candy, maple, and new oak. The palate entry is light, sweet, and grapy ripe; the midpalate is chewier in texture, more honeyed in taste than the entry phase and tropical fruit-like. Finishes satiny smooth, sugary/piney sweet, and medium-long. Nice job."
