2003 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Moulin-Tacussel
Notes
According to Robert Parker: "Despite the deceptively light to medium ruby color, the 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape reveals resiny, peppery, balsam wood notes intermixed with plenty of kirsch and raspberry-like fruit. The wine is soft, round, seductive, medium-bodied, and best drunk over the next 3-4 years." (02/06) According to the Wine Spectator: "High-toned, with floral and nearly candied red and black cherry fruit, this picks up heartier 'garrigue' and tar notes through the taut finish. Drink now through 2010." (11/05) According to Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep red. Heady, expansive aromas of fresh red berries, garrigue and dried flowers. Crisp and bright on the palate, showing no sign of dullness or overripeness. The lively red berry and rhubarb flavors are further lifted by cracked pepper. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins."
